About Elani Jewelry

Elani Jewelry, founded by Rachael Elani in 2025, is dedicated to the art of creating handcrafted, meaningful jewelry. Inspired by a range of influences, from medieval history and literature to pop culture and the deep emotions tied to personal experiences, Rachael's designs evoke a powerful connection between jewelry and the human soul. Based in Connecticut, Elani Jewelry uses the traditional lost wax method, ensuring each piece speaks to the heart.

Rachael’s love for jewelry dates back to childhood when she’d sneak into her mother’s closet to explore her jewelry collection and craft her own creations. From a bead kit gifted by her mom to running an Etsy store called ForTheLovers in high school, jewelry has always been her means of expression. After years of exploring different creative paths, watercolor, singing, dancing, and even doll restoration, jewelry emerged as her true passion. In January 2025 she enrolled in jewelry-making classes, refining her craft, and blending her business expertise (a degree in Marketing from Penn State) with her creative vision.

Elani Jewelry's designs are not just accessories, they’re heartfelt symbols, like the Sacred Heart Necklace, which carries profound meaning and speaks to universal emotions. Rachael's mentor, Christy from Studio Dahl, has been a guiding force, helping shape her vision and ensuring each design aligns with the emotional weight jewelry can carry. This philosophy is at the core of Elani Jewelry: pieces that are more than adornment, but representations of one’s story and sentiments.

Rachael spent eight years working in eCommerce within the jewelry, furniture, and baby gear industries, gathering invaluable experience that helped shape her entrepreneurial journey. But it was her love for antiques, especially vintage charms and jewelry discovered at places like the Elephant Trunk flea market, that truly shaped her aesthetic and sparked her desire to create timeless pieces.

Each piece of Elani Jewelry is crafted with care in Connecticut and New York City, with inspiration drawn from sources as diverse as tarot imagery, museums, Instagram, Pinterest, and personal experiences, both the joyful and the tough ones. As Rachael continues to evolve as a designer, her dream is for her creations to stand the test of time, becoming cherished treasures that tell stories of love, pain, passion, and artistry for generations to come.

When she’s not designing, Rachael enjoys antiquing, spending time at the beach, and indulging in her love for musical theatre. Above all, she cherishes time with her family and her favorite dog, Louis.
